Rolando Aarons could sign a new deal at Newcastle |
ROLANDO AARONS is ready to commit his future to Newcastle by signing a new deal with the club, according to reports.
Talks were shelved last season, with Liverpool and Arsenal reportedly waiting in the wings and ready to pounce.
However, The Newcastle Chronicle claim that has now changed and the 19-year-old will snub interest from elsewhere to stay at St James' Park.
Complications prevented the winger signing last term as his agent demanded the sort of deal normally given to established first-team players.
But Aarons is said to be desperate to make an impact under new manager Steve McClaren on Tyneside.
The youngster was impressive during pre-season, bagging two goals in his side's 4-3 defeat to Portland Timbers.
He made his Premier League bow in the last campaign and scored his first goal in a 3-3 draw against Crystal Palace in August last year.
