Georginio Wijnaldum celebrates after putting Newcastle 2-0 in front |
CHELSEA came from two goals behind to snatch a point against Newcastle at St James' Park.
The hosts were seemingly on course for victory after Ayoze Perez gave them the lead just before half-time and Georginio Wijnaldum headed them two in front from a corner on the hour.
However, Ramires struck in stunning style from 20 yards and Willian's free-kick evaded everyone before nestling in the bottom corner with five minutes left.
The Blues might have taken all three points as Newcastle's defending went array but Ramires could only head straight at Tim Krul.
Toon boss Steve McClaren is still looking for his first win and his side stay second from bottom.
Jose Mourinho's side move up to 15th.
