Arsenal defeated Leicester 5-2 |
ARSENE WENGER has hailed Arsenal's performance during their 5-2 victory over Leicester City at the King Power Stadium.
Jamie Vardy opened the scoring for Leicester with his stunning finish from a tight angle after a clinical counter attack.
However, Theo Walcott equalised when Leicester were caught on the break.
But Alexis Sanchez rediscovered his scoring form by grabbing a hat-trick.
Vardy added his second of the afternoon two minutes from before Olivier Giroud finished the five-goal rout over the home side with his strike.
"We created many chances and I felt a game like this confidence was coming. I think we always looked dangerous," said Wenger.
"We managed to come back from 2-1 and after that I feel we dominated the game.
"Alexis was waiting for a goal and he's not used to not scoring for so long so it was important for him to score."
