Moto 360: Motorola offers endless choice with its smartwatch
Motorola is allowing customers to customise their smartwatch with a slew of new colours, bands
MOTOROLA has unveiled two successors to its hugely popular Moto 360 smartwatch with a new focus on customizability.

The Lenovo firm unveiled its latest smartwatch at the IFA consumer electronics event in Berlin this week.

Like the Samsung Gear S2 and the Huawei Watch, the Moto 360 is focused on design.
Motorola now offers two dial sizes, 42mm and 46mm, to cater to a wider range of wrist sizes.

In its endless quest to try to make the Moto 360 look like a traditional timepiece, the firm has designed some new lugs for a new range of straps.
A quick release system allows owners to “easily swap between leather and metal bands in seconds to match your look for the day.”
Motorola has also added the new Moto 360 to its online customising tool, Moto Maker design studio.
Customers can pick between an enormous range of bezels, colours, straps, materials and even a new double wrap band.

The new Moto 360 is compatible with both iPhone and Android smartphones

Moto Maker even allows customers to pick the digital watch face that will greet them when they unbox their new gadget.
Motorola also hopes to cater to more female customers, adding a specific “Designed For Women” section to the Moto Maker process.
This only features the 42mm size dial and includes a number of new bands and colours.
Aside from the slew of new bands and customisation options, the new Moto 360 is pretty similar to last year’s model.

The smartwatch is powered by Google’s open source Android Wear operating system and is compatible with Apple iPhone and Android handset.
The watch brings notifications to your wrist, from text messages and emails to walking directions from Google Maps.
Motorola has included the ability to reply to messages using voice dictation.
Plus, the newly updated Moto 360 is wifi-enabled, keeping you connected to your smartphone even when you are well outside the Bluetooth range.
All of the latest Moto 360 have a number of health-orientated features, dubbed Moto Body.
Motorola describes the feature as “a holistic experience that helps you lead a healthier lifestyle.”
The Moto 360 can keep track of how many steps you have taken, how many calories and your heartbeat throughout the day.
Your health data is analysed and the watch will then provide “valuable feedback” and coaching to help you improve your fitness.
For those looking for something a little more in-depth, Motorola has launched the Moto 360 Sport.

The silicon Moto 360 Sport has in-built GPS to track your speed, distance and pace while you run – without the need to carry your smartphone with you.
You can also store music on the Moto 360 Sport, so you can listen to music while you run without an iPod.
Both the Moto 360 and the Moto 360 Sport boast an impressive two-day battery life, according to Motorola.
The Moto 360 will be available in the UK later this month, with prices starting from £229 and rising depending on how you customise the wearable.
The Moto 360 Sport will be available soon. UK Pricing has yet to be announced.
