The striker returned to Milan on loan this summer after a disastrous spell on Merseyside.
Balotelli scored just once in the Premier League for Liverpool last term and was shipped out after just one season.
And fans slammed him last year, questioning his commitment and quality.
But the 25-year-old hit back, saying: "I have always been in good shape and put in the maximum effort like everyone.
“I am happy to have scored a goal and provided an assist. I wanted to win this game, because I don’t like losing.”
