ANTHONY MARTIAL's big-money move to Manchester United has been dubbed 'one of the biggest transfers ever'.

 

French football expert Julien Laurens believes United did well to sign the youngster for £36million this summer.

The sum makes Martial the most expensive teenage signing in history, and Laurens believes it was 'amazing business' by Monaco.

 

He told TalkSPORT: "Monaco have done some amazing business. Right now it looks like they have had the best side of the deal.

"It’s one of the biggest transfers ever, it’s not going to be easy.

 

However, Laurens predicts United have made the right call by striking early for the Frenchman, as current market trends could send his price rocketing.

"We’ve seen this summer that the market for under-22 players has been incredible and other youngsters have been far too much money, but that’s the trend."

“United are probably thinking if they waited another 12 or 24 months they would have had to pay more for him.”
