Victor Valdes has made just two appearances for Manchester United |
VICTOR VALDES has given the biggest hint yet that he has a future at Manchester United.
The Spaniard was widely expected to leave Old Trafford before the summer transfer window slammed shut on Tuesday.
Valdes came in for criticism from manager Louis van Gaal, who effectively sacked him after he refused to play for the reserves.
However, a proposed move to Turkish giants Besiktas collapsed on transfer deadline day, with the 33-year-old forced to stay at Old Trafford.
And he appears to be happy after thanking fans for their support via his official Twitter account.
"No matter what happens. The only way I know is to work hard every day.
"Thank you all for your support," he said.
His response comes despite being omitted from United's Champions League squad, which was announced yesterday.

The former Barcelona star was left out and rookie Sam Johnstone, 22, was named in his place.
Valdes is yet to make an appearance this season and has not even been given a squad number for the current campaign.
Van Gaal signed the stopper on a free transfer last January and handed him an 18-month deal.
But he has appeared just twice for United and appears to be firmly out of favour with the Dutchman.
