Manchester United's James Wilson has attracted interest from 20 other clubs |
MANCHESTER UNITED have received more than 20 loan offers for striker James Wilson, with Derby leading the race for his services.
Clubs were put on alert after United indicated they would be willing to let the 19-year-old move following the purchase of Anthony Martial from Monaco.
Louis van Gaal has already loaned Adnan Januzaj to Borussia Dortmund and offloaded Javier Hernandez to Bayern Leverkusen, but despite this Wilson has been assured that he is still part of the club's long-term plans.
The England Under-21 international, who came from the bench to score the only goal in their 1-0 victory against USA U23s on Thursday, has played just 17 minutes for United since February - leaving him frustrated at his lack of opportunities.
England U21 manager Gareth Southgate said: "He hasn't got enormous game time under his belt. We might have to be patient and wait for him.

"I believe United will handle his development in the best way. There is still some physical development to come. As he plays more matches he will get hardened. It is very early stages of us working with him."
Derby are keen to sign the frontman but face competition from fellow Championship clubs.
