LG have unveiled the double-sided technology at the IFA consumer electronics show

LG has unveiled a new TV which allows people to watch two shows at once, so you never have to decide between Strictly Come Dancing or X Factor again.

 

Technologies firms have previously tried 3D televisions, curved TVs and Ultra HD TVs – but now LG has debuted its first double-sided telly.

Korean firm LG has unveiled its new double-sided HD television, which allows people to watch two shows at the same time.

Unbelievably – both displays are packed into a package just 5.3mm wide.

 

Two sets have just been unveiled in Berlin for the IFA consumer electronics show.

LG revealed a humongous 111inch curved TV taking centre-stage alongside a more manageable 55inch set.

The team at gadget website Pocket-Lint recorded this exclusive footage of the new TV, which demonstrates how the dual displays work.

 

Unless you hang the flatscreen in the middle of your living room, the cutting-edge technology is pretty useful for consumers.

LG believes the television sets will be used by commercial partners

Instead LG sees the double-sided TV being used by commercial companies, hanging in stores where it can be seen from multiple angles.

LG also unveiled a paper-thin TV earlier this year.
