Kasper Schmeichel not concerned by Leicester's leaky defence |
LEICESTER goalkeeper Kasper Schmeichel admits his lack of clean sheets this term is not an issue going into tomorrow's visit of Arsenal (3pm).
The Foxes remain the only unbeaten side in the Premier League this term as they sit fourth in the standings, but have conceded nine goal in just six outings.
The last two matches have seen Claudio Ranieri's men go two goals down, but they overturned the deficit to beat Aston Villa and managed to salvage a draw against Stoke.
Schmeichel is still searching for his first clean sheet of the season, but the keeper isn't too concerned as long as Leicester continue their impressive form.
Winger Riyad Mahrez and striker Jamie Vardy have been in fine form this term, bagging a collective nine league goals to make up for Leicester's leaky defence.
"The way we play sometimes we are very open and expansive," Schmeichel explained.
"We leave gaps and when you make mistakes like we did at Stoke you are going to concede goals in this league.

"You obviously go out hoping to keep a clean sheet but we are up against quality players and if you give them a chance they will punish you.
"But when you are part of a team like this you never give up, you keep on going and working, and you are confident you will get something out of the game.
"We are on a great run now and we just have to keep it going."
