Hector Moreno apologises for leg-breaking challenge on Man United's Luke Shaw
Hector Moreno has apologised for his challenge that broke Luke Shaw's leg
HECTOR MORENO has apologised for the reckless tackle that has wrecked Luke Shaw's season and threatened his Euro 2016 hopes.

PSV defender Moreno insists there was no malice behind the challenge that left the Manchester United and England left-back Shaw with a double leg fracture in last night's Champions League clash in the Philips Stadion.
Mexico international Moreno says he knows what Shaw is going through after breaking a leg in last summer's World Cup against Holland - then managed by United boss Louis Van Gaal.

Furious Van Gaal claimed after last night's game that Moreno should have been red carded by referee Nicola Rizzoli but the PSV player claimed it was a fair challenge.
He said: "I feel very bad about it. I am so sorry. I know how it feels, I know how difficult it is to recover from such an injury.
"Was it a foul? I think not. It's difficult to say what happened. I don't really remember. I think I played the ball, but in this kind of situation I don't care if it was a foul or not, I just feel really bad for him and his family.
"I don't know how bad it is. I was in the same situation during the World Cup and it's bad. Now I just hope he will be back as soon as possible. I am really sorry."

After Memphis Depay put United ahead, Moreno equalised in first half added time before Luciano Narsingh headed a second half winner for the Dutch club.
: "We knew it would be a difficult game. We did not have possession of the ball the most of the time.
"We knew they would have it for most of the time, we had to play smart.

"I think that the game against Cambur at the weekend (PSV won 6-0) gave us confidence. We had a good result, so we knew we had a chance to get the points.
"It was great to score bit the most important thing was three  points. That is very important for us.
"Now we are calm. There is important work to come. We will keep fighting.
"You can see that a game like this helps us to gain confidence. We are a really young team, most  of the squad is 20 or 21, so hopefully this will help. We will continue working hard."
