Eden Hazard says title rivals are now desperate to beat Chelsea |
The Blues are already eight points behind league leaders Manchester City and suffered a rare home loss to Crystal Palace in their last outing.
They travel to Everton on Saturday (12.45pm) and the Belgian is expecting another tough test at Goodison Park.
"It's difficult to play as a champion because everyone wants to beat you, everyone wants to kill you," Hazard told HypeBeast.com.
"We wear the gold badge and... yeah, it's very good. We had a fantastic season last season... if we could do the same this season we'd be good."
Despite a difficult start to this term, the 24-year-old has been backed as one of the best players in the world by manager Jose Mourinho.
And while he recently conceded he will never reach the levels of Cristiano Ronaldo or Lionel Messi, Hazard also revealed he is working hard to improve his game all the time.
"Every day I try to reach a better level," he added.
"This is my job, every day I try to score. Every game I try to score.
"I just want to be champion. I just want to be a champion and win everything like I did last season."
