Glenn Murray scored 47 goals in 125 appearances for Crystal Palace |
BOURNEMOUTH signalled their intent to avoid getting involved in a Premier League relegation battle by signing striker Glenn Murray from Crystal Palace on a three-year deal.
The 31-year-old, inset, scored 47 goals in 125 appearances for Palace and was a key figure in their promotion to the top flight. The move is believed to be around £5million.
Murray said: "It feels great to finally be here. The way the boys play football is very exciting. It's front-footed and it will be nice to try and get some goals from it."
The Cherries also signed left-back Joe Bennett on loan from Aston Villa until January and Tomas Andrade, 19, on a season-long loan from Argentinian club River Plate.
The £7m summer recruit Max Gradel has torn a cruciate ligament in his knee and could be sidelined for a significant period.
