Arsene Wenger is 'hurting' Arsenal by depriving Theo Walcott chance to shine up front

ARSENE WENGER should be giving Theo Walcott a greater chance to prove his striking abilities.

The Gunners made a losing start to their Champions League campaign following their 2-1 defeat away to Dinamo Zagreb.
Walcott was on the bench as Wenger opted to play Olivier Giroud up front instead.
But Manchester United legend Rio Ferdinand thinks Wenger made a big tactical error.

"They've got to give Theo a chance [up front]," Ferdinand told BT Sport.
"He's been there all these years, he's mooted about wanting to be a centre forward.

"I think Wenger is hurting Arsenal by not giving him a sustained period playing up front.
"Give him a chance to prove himself, if he can't do it then go out and buy someone."
