Arsenal win appeal against Gabriel's red card after scuffle with Chelsea's Diego Costa
Gabriel has had his three-game ban overturned by the FA
ARSENAL have won their appeal against Gabriel's red card, resulting in the three-game ban being overturned.

The defender was sent off by Mike Dean during the 2-0 defeat to Chelsea for kicking out at Diego Costa after things boiled over from the striker's earlier challenger on Laurent Koscielny.
The Spain international struck Koscielny multiple times in the face prior to the sending off, for which he has been retrospectively charged by the FA for violent conduct.

However, the Gunners still felt aggrieved at the harsh treatment of Gabriel and appealed his three-game ban, which has been lifted by the FA - clearing the Brazilian to play in the crucial Capital One Cup clash against Tottenham tomorrow night (7.45pm).
A statement on the FA's website reads: "Arsenal’s claim of wrongful dismissal in relation to Gabriel has been upheld following an Independent Regulatory Commission hearing. The player’s three-match suspension has, therefore, been withdrawn with immediate effect.

"Gabriel was dismissed for violent conduct during the game against Chelsea on Saturday [19 September 2015].
"The player is currently subject to a separate FA charge of improper conduct in relation to Saturday's game and has until 6pm on Thursday [24 September 2015] to reply."
