PSG striker Edinson Cavani is a target for Arsenal

ARSENAL are reportedly still working on a deal for Edinson Cavani - but it looks unlikely.

Arsene Wenger has been spotted in Paris after flying to his homeland to perform his punditry role for French TV.

The Arsenal boss has been linked with a surprise double swoop on Paris Saint-Germain for striker Cavani and defensive midfielder Adrien Rabiot.

And the Mail Online report while any move is a long-shot, the 28-year-old remains a deadline day target for the Gunners.

But with less than 90 minutes to go until the 6pm deadline, it seems Cavani will be staying at PSG.

Wenger has made just one major signing this summer in the shape of £10m goalkeeper Petr Cech from Chelsea - making Arsenal the only club in Europe's top five leagues not to have signed a senior outfield player.
