Arsenal legend questions Manchester United's summer spending
Martin Keown has question Louis van Gaal's summer buys at Manchester United
ARSENAL legend Martin Keown has questioned Manchester United's spending during this summer's transfer window.

United seemed to complete the majority of their business early, bringing the likes of Memphis Depay, Matteo Darmian, Morgan Schneiderlin and Bastian Schweinsteiger.
However, Louis van Gaal made the surprise signing of 19-year-old Anthony Martial.

But Keown has questioned the Dutchman's summer purchases, particularly the price-tags.
"They did a lot of business early in the window and then had a last-minute panic," Keown said during a web chat on Mail Online.

"But it does look like they have overpaid for a few of their players, particularly Anthony Martial who arrives with little experience and a huge price tag.
"For a club of United’s size you expect people to up their prices but it’s been another summer of big spending.
"I’m still not sure Morgan Schneiderlin is worth £25million, especially when Bastian Schweinsteiger arrived for around £10million less having achieved so much more in his career.
"I also think they slightly overpaid for Memphis, though he is certainly an exciting talent, and I have been impressed by Matteo Darmian, who looks a good player."
