Manchester City could seal the signing of Nicolas Otamendi for NOTHING, according to reports.
The Argentina defender is being looked at by Manuel Pellegrini despite City keeping clean sheets in their first two games of the season.
But because Valencia still haven't coughed up the £23.8million for Alvaro Negredo yet City may get Otamendi for free.
Negredo joined the Spaniards on loan last term but with the agreement they would buy him permanently this summer.
And despite Otamendi having a €50m buyout clause Valencia are thought to be considering a lower price.
However Valencia's desire to bring Eliaquim Mangala to Spain has been thrown out by City.
Valencia wanted the France defender on loan as part of the deal but City have refused that option.
Arsenal are considering a surprise move for Bayern Munich star Mario Gotze.
The World Cup winner - who scored the decisive goal in the final - is uncertain over his future in Germany.
Gotze joined Munich from rivals Dortmund but has struggled for games under Pep Guardiola.
And last week he was told to make his mind up by Karl-Heinz Rummenigge.
And finally Liverpool keeper Brad Jones has joined Bradford City.
The 33-year-old Australian was a free agent but signed a one-year deal for the Bantams.
Jones spent five years at Anfield, making 27 appearances.
