Tottenham remain silent on bid for West Brom striker Saido Berahino
West Brom rejected Tottenham's move for Saido Berahino
TOTTENHAM head coach Mauricio Pochettino refused to get involved in a public bidding war over Saido Berahino and insisted there is still a long way to go until the transfer window closes.

On Wednesday, the West Brom chairman Jeremy Peace went public to say, “We have no interest in selling Saido which is what I have told Spurs chairman Daniel Levy.”
But while Spurs are already believed to have gone back in with another bid of £22m, Pochettino was not about to say so publicly.

“I am not going to speak about our private business,” the Spurs boss said.
“It's obvious we need to add some more in our offensive positions. We have different targets but this is the target.
“We identify our targets and the chairman is working very hard to bring new players in this position.

“But we played the last two games in a good level and I am not worried about the future or our situation. Our situation is good. We signed Clinton N'Jie this week, an offensive player and I'm happy with my squad.
“I am very happy but today it is impossible to answer this because it is not true and we have time.”
Indeed, his main concern has been with his defence, after conceding two late goals against Stoke on Sunday.
“All the people will speak about we need offensive players but we need to be more consistent because we conceded a lot of goals last season,” Pochettino said.
"It wasn't our problem to score it was conceding goals and we need to improve that this season.”
