FEDERICO FAZIO has arrived at West Brom ahead of a medical, according to reports.
The Tottenham defender is expected to complete a £5million switch to the Baggies today.
Fazio, 28, only joined Spurs last year from Sevilla last summer and made 20 league appearances for the club during the previous campaign.
But the arrival of Toby Alderweireld from Atletico Madrid in the summer appears to have pushed him out the White Hart Lane exit door.
West Brom manager Tony Pulis is keen to secure more signings ahead of the transfer deadline.
He has already signed James Chester from Hull, while strikers Rickie Lambert and Salomon Rondon have arrived for a combined £15m.
But with Joleon Lescott thought to be heading to Aston Villa in a £2m deal, the boss needs a new centre-back to cover the loss.
Villa are expected to ramp up their efforts to sign the player, claim the Birmingham Mail, as manager Tim Sherwood seeks to bolster his defence.
