Jack Grealish in line to return for Crystal Palace trip |
TIM SHERWOOD admits Aston Villa winger Jack Grealish could make his first start of the campaign against Crystal Palace.
The 19-year-old, who has been out of action with a hamstring injury, played a full 90 minutes and scored for the U21s in the 1-0 win at Derby on Monday.
"He looked fit enough to maybe be up for selection this weekend." Midfielder Carles Gil also featured in the game but went off in the second half with a tight groin. Villa have made a steady start to the campaign, beating newly-promoted Bournemouth 1-0 on the opening weekend and narrowly losing to Manchester United with the same result.
And Sherwood admits Grealish's run out means he could be available for Villa's Premier League trip to Selhurst Park on Saturday.
"The Derby match was a good workout for the boys," Sherwood said. "I thought Jack was very good. He played to the last minute.
