Team News: Welbeck and Wilshere near Arsenal return but Mertesacker out for Newcastle
Danny Welbeck is close to returning for Arsenal
DANNY WELBECK is close to returning for Arsenal after manager Arsene Wenger confirmed he will resume full training after the international break.

The Gunners hitman is yet to feature this season and the team has struggled for goals.
However, Wenger revealed he is close to competing for a place in the first team, while Jack Wilshere could also be back earlier than expected.

"Danny Welbeck is progressing well, he said.
"He should be available if all goes well after the international break. Jack Wilshere is just behind Welbeck, maybe one week.
"After the international break he can certainly come back into full training."
Despite the boost, Saturday's trip to Newcastle will come to soon for the injured pair.

And Wenger could also be without his first choice centre-back pairing for the clash.
Per Mertesacker and Laurent Koscielny missed Monday's draw with Liverpool and Mertesacker is almost certain to be absent again.
Meanwhile, Wenger also has doubts about Koscielny and might decide not to rush him back.
"Mertesacker is still sick and we will know more about Koscielny today," he added.
"He might have a test on his back today and I will certainly know more tomorrow morning.
"The less likely to be fit is Mertesacker."
