Swansea boss Garry Monk believes Shelvey's form should put him in contention for England
Swansea's Jonjo Shelvey has been in fine form for Swansea
GARRY MONK reckons Jonjo Shelvey's form is too good for England manager Roy Hodgson to ignore.

Swansea midfielder Shelvey has been in fine form during the early stages of the season, and is pushing for a place in Hodgson's squad for the Euro 2016 qualifier against San Marino and Switzerland.
The former Liverpool playmaker, who has one cap to his name, has not been included in an England squad since last October, but Monk believes it would be unfair if Shelvey misses out again this week.

"If you ask me, purely on performances in the Premier League, then Jonjo has to be right up there," said Monk.
"If you are picking it on those terms, how could you leave Jonjo out?
"I don't know exactly what Roy wants from his midfielders, or what he's looking for.
"But Jonjo is an all-rounder who can offer any team a contribution, in any style. Jonjo just has to keep pushing forward and the rest will follow."

Having been criticised by Monk for a lack of discipline last season, Shelvey responded by working with a personal trainer during the off-season and searching for a live-in chef to regiment his diet.
The results have been clear to see with the Charlton product looking noticeably leaner this term, leading Swans boss Monk to predict a special season could lie ahead.
"I had a good chat with him at the end of last season and he started to work towards it and took it through the summer. He came back fitter," said Monk.
"He is working hard and we are giving him all the help we can to make sure we get the best Jonjo. You can see what a fantastic player he is, but I think there is a hell of a lot more to come.
"We can easily get another 20 to 30 per cent out of Jonjo. We can unlock something really special and that's my job. He's working in a really good way I'm very happy with him."
