INTER midfielder Xherdan Shaqiri has been spotted in the stands at the Britannia Stadium ahead of his proposed switch to Stoke.
The Switzerland international, who is also wanted by Everton and Newcastle, was caught on Sky TV cameras watching Stoke's Premier League defeat to the Reds.
Shaqiri, 23, is free to leave Inter despite only joining them from Bayern Munich last winter.
San Siro boss Roberto Mancini needs to cut his squad down and Shaqiri appears to have been sacrificed.
He is expected to become a Stoke player within the next 24 hours after completing a medical.
Everton launched a bid for the ace yesterday but it appears the Toffees are too late in making their move.
Newcastle were also deemed suitors of Shaqiri, who boasts 46 caps for Switzerland, but the Magpies instead opted for Georginio Wijnaldum in the transfer market.
