Chelsea Transfer News: £46m clause bid rejected, Everton's Stones option, £24m standoff
Koke (right) reportedly has a £46m transfer clause
EVERTON have earmarked Celtic defender Virgil van Dijk as a replacement for John Stones - should Chelsea sign the Toffees ace.

Chelsea are expected to make an improved offer on their £26million bid for Stones next week.
Everton are reportedly holding out for £34m for their England international.
But it is understood they will seek to capture £7m Celtic man Van Dijk should they decide to cash in and take Chelsea's money.

Augsburg are pushing Chelsea to raise their bid for Baba Rahman to £24m.
The Bundesliga club are unwilling to sell their left-back unless Chelsea meet those demands, claim the Guardian.

The Blues are seeking defensive cover after selling Filipe Luis to Atletico Madrid this summer.
And Rahman, 21, is understood to be Jose Mourinho's top priority.
However, the Blues have already had a £19m bid rejected for the ace and the Guardian report an improved offer is required.

Atletico Madrid have rejected £46m bids from Chelsea and Bayern Munich for midfield ace Koke - despite the offers triggering his release clause.
That is according to the Telegraph, who quote Marca as claiming manager Diego Simeone is determined to retain his 23-year-old star.
Indeed, it was reportedly the player's resolution to stay at Madrid that stopped Chelsea landing the ace.
Koke scored two goals and made 10 assists in 33 appearances for Simeone's side last season.
