Sir Alex Ferguson has hand in latest Manchester United transfer
Jonny Evans signed a four-year deal with West Brom
TONY PULIS has revealed Sir Alex Ferguson played a role in West Brom's deal for Jonny Evans.

The Northern Ireland international penned a four-year deal with the Baggies over the weekend, ending an 11-year spell at Old Trafford.

And Pulis has admitted he discussed the defender with former United boss Ferguson before completing the deal.

He said: "I spoke to Sir Alex, Obviously we have got Darren Fletcher and James Chester was there with him as well.
"There are a lot of people who have given him a really good mention. He needs to play.

"He needs to be at a football club where he is going to be a regular and a mainstay. He hasn't had that yet."
Evans made 198 appearances for United during and spent over a decade at club, winning the Premier League three times.
