Santi Cazorla: Why I signed a new deal at Arsenal
Santi Cazorla commits to Arsenal until 2017
SANTI CAZORLA admits signing a new contract with Arsenal was an "easy decision".

Cazorla, who was linked with a move to Atletico Madrid, has penned a deal that ties him to the Emirates until 2017.
The 30-year-old is now eyeing more silverware after lifting successive FA Cups.

"I think this is the best moment in my career and the best club for me, and for the future," he said.

"I'm very happy and I want to try to help the team get more trophies.

"Every year we have a better team and we sign some good players every summer, like Mesut, like Alexis, like Petr Cech now, and this is important for me and the club. Of course we want to improve every year."

Cazorla, voted Arsenal's player of the year last season, has played 149 times for Arsenal and believes the north London club is the perfect place for him to develop as a footballer.

"I can only thank the fans for the support," he added. "They are amazing for us and I want to play for this club, for them, and I try to play well. I want to enjoy it all together at the Emirates."
Arsenal kick off their Premier League campaign against West Ham on Sunday (1.30pm).
