| Neymar is reported to be a target for Manchester United |
Neymar appears to have dealt a blow to Manchester United by agreeing to sign a new contract at Barcelona.
United are reported to have made enquiries but Spanish football expert Guillem Balague rubbished the rumours.
"Neymar: contract renewal prepared. FCB wants 2 announce it soon.Doesn't stop other teams being interested but is naive 2 think he wants 2 go," he said on Twitter.
While they might miss out on Neymar, United could raid their La Liga rivals Real Madrid for Karim Benzema.
The 27-year-old is a target for Arsenal and are reportedly flying him over for a medical.
However, it appears that saga could drag on and Red Devils boss Louis van Gaal might take advantage.
David de Gea appeared to be heading in the other direction but Van Gaal insists he has no intention of selling him.
"I think when Manchester United wants a player he shall come, besides when a club isn't selling," said the Dutchman.
"It is the same with us. We are not selling De Gea."
