Manager Louis van Gaal has also been handed a massive boost in his pursuit of top target Thomas Muller.
Muller, 25, wants to follow former Bayern Munich team-mate Bastian Schweinsteiger to Old Trafford.
That's why Van Gaal has refused to give up on signing the German despite having two bids - the last one around £60m - turned down by the German giants.
And the long-running Pedro saga could finally be about to end, with Catalan newspaper Sport claiming the deal will be wrapped up by Tuesday.
In a battle for his signature, Premier league rivals Chelsea and City were also thought to be weighing up offers but it appears the Red Devils are now ready to land the Barcelona winger.
The 28-year-old will cost £22m and become United's sixth summer signing.
