| David De Gea hasn't featured for Manchester United this season |
MANCHESTER UNITED fans reportedly launched a foul-mouth tirade at David De Gea.
The Spaniard has been heavily linked to Real Madrid, but he has yet to appear for the Red Devils this season.
Though De Gea looks set to stay, some fans still hold him with some disdain.
The Sun claim United fans greeted De Gea when he turned up to Old Trafford before Tuesday night's Champions League qualifier against Club Bruges with a chorus of "f*** off you penny-pinching b*****d”.
The report suggests De Gea was left visibly shaken by the incident.
While De Gea incurred the wrath of the Red Devils faithful, his team-mate Sergio Romero wants him to stay.
"The truth is that I have no idea if De Gea is going to Real Madrid," Romero said.
"But for me I hope that he stays here because he's a good team-mate who always works hard and that is best for the group.
“He works hard every day. The truth is he is a great team-mate, a great professional, a great person."
