Louis van Gaal: New signing was an absolute bargain
Matteo Darmian has hit the ground running at Old Trafford
LOUIS VAN GAAL believes Matteo Darmian was a bargain signing for Manchester United.

The Italy international was snapped up by United for £12.5million from Serie A outfit Torino this summer.
And the 25-year-old has impressed since making the move, playing in all five games for the Red Devils.

And Van Gaal believes his modest price tag does not reflect the positive impact the right-back has had on the team.
While speaking to reporters, the Dutchman was asked if Darmian’s low transfer fee showed that the quality of a player matters more than his price tag.

He responded: “Yes, I am very happy that you discovered this because I didn't read that when the deal was announced.
"He was not a big player in Italy, he was a rising star. He is a late developer, but it is true, the market of a player is difficult to describe.
"Until now he has fulfilled my expectations of him."
