LOUIS VAN GAAL has reportedly offered Pedro a starring role in his side in an effort to clinch a £22million deal.
Pedro, who only signed a new contract with Barcelona in June, is widely expected to leave the Nou Camp this summer, despite Luis Enrique urging him to stay.
The 28-year-old has been tipped to join the Red Devils and it is thought he could even be a spectator for United's Premier League opener against Tottenham this weekend.
And the Daily Telegraph claims Louis van Gaal has offered Pedro a role in his front three this season.
Van Gaal, the report claims, will change to a 4-3-3 formation.
It is believed Pedro could feature in a three-pronged attack alongside Wayne Rooney and Memphis Depay.
Pedro's goal threat is not in doubt, as he has scored 98 times in 318 games for Barcelona.
