Liverpool have reportedly blocked Lucas Leiva's exit

Taiwo Awoniyi will reportedly sign for Liverpool this week, according to a Nigerian football official.

U23 spokesman Timi Ebikagboro claims the 18-year-old is close to agreeing a deal with the club and could be loaned out this season.

He told Africanfootball.com: "He will leave this week for England to sign his contract with Liverpool and that is why he is not here training with us for the All Africa Games."

 

Harry Wilson has agreed a loan move until January with League One outfit Crewe.

The club confirmed the deal for the 18-year-old Wales international on their official website.

A statement read: "Crewe Alexandra have finalised the loan signing of Liverpool U21 starlet Harry Wilson until January 5."

 

Liverpool have halted Lucas Leiva's loan exit to Besiktas, according to reports.

According to the Turkish club's president Fikret Orman, no deal can take place as Anfield officials have blocked the deal. 

He told the Liverpool Echo: “Liverpool do not want him to go, the transfer can only go ahead with their say so there is nothing we can do right now."
