Liverpool Transfer News: Loan offer tabled, £7m double bid, reason behind £25m snub
Mateo Kovacic was unveiled at Real Madrid yesterday
NEWS NEWS BLOG SPORT brings you all the latest transfer news from Anfield.

Besiktas have offered to take Liverpool midfielder Lucas on loan for the season.
The Turkish club are said to have baulked at Liverpool's £5million asking price for the Brazilian.
Instead, they will seek to secure him on a temporary deal before deciding whether or not to make the switch permanent, claim NTV Spor.
Inter and Juventus both want to land the player but it is believed the 28-year-old is nearing a move to Besiktas following the long-term injuries to midfielders Veli Kavlak and Tolgay Arslan.

Sakho is reportedly seeking to leave the Anfield club and Sky Sports claim both Roma and Bayer Leverkusen have had their advances turned down.
Roma have so far made just two permanent signings this summer, having landed Premier League trio Wojciech Szczesny, Mohamed Salah and Edin Dzeko on loan deals.
Leverkusen, meanwhile, have already signed two defenders - Andre Ramalho and Jonathan Tah - in this window.

Mateo Kovacic says joining Real Madrid is the "opportunity of a lifetime" after he reportedly rejected Liverpool's approach to instead sign on at the Bernabeu.
Kovacic, 21, agreed a six-year contract in the Spanish capital yesterday to complete his £25m switch from Inter.
He was trailed by Liverpool earlier in the transfer window was seen as a replacement for Steven Gerrard.
But the Croatia international explained his reasons for heading to La Liga.

"Real Madrid is the biggest club in the world, I have no doubt about it," he said.
"This opportunity only comes once in a lifetime.
"When they told me about Real's offer, you don't have any doubts.
"I am young, I have a lot to learn and I hope I can give the best of me.
"To be able to share the changing room with such great players, it's truly an honour."
