Liverpool pair get England qualifier call-ups alongside Arsenal defender and Chelsea duo

LIVERPOOL pair Joe Gomez and Jordon Ibe have earned maiden call-ups for the England U21 squad.
 
The Anfield duo are set to compete for places with 12 further uncapped players as head coach Gareth Southgate prepares for matches against the United States and Norway next month.
Defender Gomez, a £5million acquisition from Charlton this summer, has started all three of Liverpool's games this season.
 
Chelsea midfield duo Ruben Loftus-Cheek and Nathaniel Chalobah are included alongside Tottenham new man Dele Alli.
Arsenal's Calum Chambers, who played for Southgate at Euro 2015 in the Czech Republic this summer, is included in defence, while Manchester United striker James Wilson also gets a call-up.
 
England will play a friendly with the USA before a clash in Norway on 7 September kicks off their Euro 2017 qualifying campaign.
