Alberto Moreno has made just four appearances from the bench this season |
RAFAEL BENITEZ is keen to bring Alberto Moreno to Real Madrid, according to reports.
The Spanish left-back has failed to impress at Liverpool since signing from Sevilla last year.
And he has come under criticism for the way he finished last season, with club legend Mark Lawrenson calling him a 'little boy'.
And it's understood the former Reds boss wants to raid his old club for Moreno as back-up to Marcelo.
The 23-year-old has been forced out the Liverpool starting XI by teenager Joe Gomez, and has made just four appearances from the bench this term.
However, according to Tuttomercato, Benitez is in the market for a defender and has set his sights on bringing Moreno back to La Liga.
Real are light on left-sided defenders following the departure of Fabio Coentrao to Monaco on a season-long loan deal.
