Leicester 4 - Sunderland 2: Foxes savage Black Cats to top table thanks to Mahrez double
Riyad Mahrez celebrates scoring his side's third goal
LEICESTER CITY dismissed their pre-season tag as favourites for relegation with an emphatic 4-2 victory over a hapless Sunderland.

The Foxes raced into a 3-0 lead in just 25 minutes as the Black Cats succumbed to yet another heavy defeat.
England international Jamie Vardy opened the scoring in the 11th minute with a glancing header into the bottom right-hand corner.
Riyad Mahrez then got two goals in seven minutes. He grabbed his first when he headed in from a Marc Albrighton cross and then from the penalty spot after he was fouled by Lee Catermole.
Catermole then suffered the ignominy of being substituted after just 30 minutes by Dick Advocaat.

Jermain Defoe got a goal back for Sunderland when he beat the offside trap and finished coolly.
But their revival didn't last long as Albrighton got his name on the score sheet as he capitalised on more poor Sunderland defending.
Steven Fletcher grabbed another goal for the Wearsiders when he turned in a cross from Jermain Lens.
