Former Chelsea playmaker Kevin De Bruyne 'devastated' after Man City transfer slip
Kevin De Bruyne appeared to say last night that he wanted to stay at Wolfsburg
KEVIN DE BRUYNE is "devastated" that a slip-up during a live TV awards show has threatened his transfer to Manchester City, says his agent.

The Belgium international appeared to have committed himself to Wolfsburg yesterday when picking up the Sport Bild magazine's footballer of the year award.
"I stay this season with Wolfsburg," he said.
But his agent Patrick De Koster insists the former Chelsea player was duped into making the statement.

"We are devastated," De Koster told Sky Sports.
"A practical joke in a live show, in a language the player doesn't completely understand? Unbelievable."

City are reportedly preparing a £50million bid for 24-year-old De Bruyne after having a £47m advance turned down.
And Wolfsburg director of sport Klaus Allofs says he expects an offer to be placed this week.
"Of course we are expecting an attempt to be made in the coming days," Allofs said, according to sport1.de. "That has, at least, been signalled.

"An offer to Kevin, in terms of his salary, has already been made, and the figures are crazy.
"But overall I'm confident that Kevin will remain with us this season. The fact is - and this is 100 per cent certain - Kevin has a contract with us until 2019 and if at all possible, we don't want him to leave.
"Furthermore, we are not a club who needs transfer revenue. If an offer does come in, though, we will discuss it seriously because we cannot ignore the player's interests."
