Everton 0 - Manchester City 2: Kolarov and Nasri strikes send City two points clear
Samir Nasri's superb strike gave Manchester City their third win of the season
SAMIR NASRI'S superb chip sent Manchester City to the top of the Premier League as Manuel Pellegrini's side continued their impressive start to the season.

City began brightly as Jesus Navas and David Silva combined to set up Sergio Aguero, who hit a low shot which cannoned off Tim Howard.

Everton slowly dragged themselves in to the match, and Romelu Lukaku had the ball in the net, but the Everton striker was adjudged correctly to be a yard offside.

Everton 0 - Manchester City 2: Kolarov and Nasri strikes send City two points clear
Aleksandar Kolarov gave Manchester City the lead at Goodison Park
The Belgian almost gave the home side the lead on the stroke of half-time, as he clipped the top of the Manchester City bar with a 20 yard free kick after Fernandinho hacked down Tom Cleverly.
After the restart City began to look menacing, with Everton struggling to escape their own half as Silva went close, striking the post.
The pressure eventually told as on the hour mark Raheem Sterling found Aleksandar Kolarov and from the tightest of angles the full-back squeezed the ball in at Howard's near side.

Navas had a glorious chance to make it 2-0 but he fired straight at Howard when a pass to the unmarked Aguero may have been a better option.
Everton almost made Navas pay when Garteh Barry headed towards goal, but Vincent Kompany was able to head the ball clear and deny his former team-mate.
The visitors eventually pulled clear in the 88th minute when Yaya Toure provided a clever pass which opened up the home defence and Nasri dinked the ball over Howard to send Pellegrini's side two points clear at the top of the table.
