Juan Cuadrado was left out of the Chelsea squad for Sunday's victory over West Brom |
JUVENTUS chief executive Giuseppe Marotta has confirmed the club is on the verge of signing Colombia winger Juan Cuadrado on loan from Chelsea.
Speaking before Juventus' opening Serie A match against Udinese on Sunday, Marotta told Sport Mediaset: "Cuadrado will arrive on loan. It could be made official as soon as tomorrow."
Cuadrado moved to Chelsea from Fiorentina in February for around £23million, signing a four-and-a-half-year contract.
The deal saw Mohamed Salah, who is now at Roma, move the other way on loan.
However, Cuadrado failed to settle at Stamford Bridge, with the Colombian making only four league starts last season. His troubles have continued this season, as Cuadrado failed to make the squad for Sunday's victory at West Brom.
The arrival of Pedro earlier this week pushed Cuadrado further down the pecking order at Chelsea, and the 27-year-old will now hope to rejuvenate his career in Turin.
