Angel Di Maria has signed a four-year deal with PSG |
ANGEL DI MARIA has completed his move from Manchester United to Paris Saint-Germain.
The Argentina international put pen to paper on a four-year deal and will be unveiled by the French club this evening.
United signed Di Maria for British transfer record of £59.7million last summer and made 24 starts for Louis van Gaal's side.
The midfielder scored four times but struggled later on in the season after a bright start.
He was affected by personal issues after having his Cheshire home broken into.
And in the second half of the season he was behind Ashley Young in Van Gaal's pecking order.
He made his final appearance for the club against Hull City when he was injured and withdrawn in the first half.
He represented Argentina at the Copa America and didn't return to United for their pre-season tour.
Van Gaal was thought to be furious with the 27-year-old and finally agreed to sell despite publicly claiming he wanted him at the club.
"I am very proud, and can't wait, to wear the colours of Paris Saint-Germain," Di Maria said.
"I want to win every competition we enter, both in France and Europe. I want to win the Champions League, which is a dream for all footballers, for a second time.
"We will do everything we can to bring Europe's biggest trophy to France and the fans of Paris Saint-Germain."
