Cech - At fault for West Ham's goal as he misjudged the free kick into the box and was slow to reach Zarate's shot. Poor debut - 4
Debuchy - Got forward well but Arsenal missed the dynamism of Bellerin. Brought off for Alexis Sanchez - 5
Mertesacker - Struggled with the pace of Sakho in the channels and couldn't lift his team-mates as they went in search of the win - 5
Koscielny -  Failed to track the run of Kouyate, allowing him a free header. Unsettled throughout by the presence of Sakho - 5
Monreal - Attacked constantly from left-back. Booked - 6
 
Coquelin - Sloppy display from the Frenchman. Misplaced passes not enough protection given to the defence - 4
Ramsey - Demanded a start in central midfield but on this occasion failed to justify it. Careless in possession and failed to support his defence enough - 5
Oxlade-Chamberlain - Was Arsenal's most effective player in the first half but drifted out of the game. Gave the ball away for Zarate's goal and finished the match at right-back - 5
Ozil - Failed to make an impression on the game. Tomkins blocked his one effort on goal - 5
Cazorla - Started from the left and was another Arsenal player who failed to have an influence on the match - 6
Giroud - Karim Benzema has been heavily linked with the club and on this display, he can't come soon enough - 5
