Chelsea preparing third offer in desperate attempt to sign star defender
Chelsea are desperate to sign John Stones from Everton
CHELSEA will return with an improved bid to land Everton defender John Stones, according to reports.

The Blues have already had two offers rebuffed by Everton – £20million and £25m respectively – with Roberto Martinez insisting his star defender is not for sale.
However, it seems Chelsea have not been discouraged in their attempted to land the England international as they look the strengthen their centre-back options.

They consider the 21-year-old as a long term replacement for skipper John Terry and British journalist Darren Lewis claims Jose Mourinho's side will return for a third time.

“We all know about the pursuit of John Stones. Chelsea will go back in for him – they are desperate to get that player,” Lewis told talkSPORT.
“They like him, they think he’s very talented and he’s a long term successor to John Terry. They are convinced of possibly managing to do a deal.”
While Manchester United legend Rio Ferdinand believes Stones would be a "lunatic" if he were to join Chelsea and consign himself to the bench.
