Oriol Romeu is set to have a medical at Soouthampton
ORIOL ROMEU will have a medical at Southampton after a fee was agreed with Chelsea, according to reports.
 
The Independent claim the Spanish midfielder has traveled to the south coast to complete a permanent switch to Saint Mary's.
Romeu started life at Barcelona before Chelsea prised him away from the Nou Camp for £5million when he was 19.

Southampton manager Ronald Koeman is looking for replacements after selling Morgan Schneiderlin
He immediately broke into the first team at Stamford Bridge under former manager Andre Villas-Boas but suffered a long-term knee injury and struggled to force his way back into the starting line-up.
He spent the last two seasons on loan at Valencia and Stuttgart and returned to Chelsea this summer but appears to be surplus to requirements under Jose Mourinho.
 
Leicester were also linked but the Saints appear to have won the race for his signature.

The club have already secured Jordy Clasie from Feyenoord but the Dutchman suffered an injury and could be out for a few weeks.
Koeman is also understood be keen on £10million-rated Celtic defender Virgil van Dijk.
