MOURNERS have started to arrive at the controversial funeral of tragic Bobbi Kristina Brown in Georgia.
The 22-year-old's shiny silver casket was lifted from a hearse as family members, including her grief-stricken father Bobby Brown, gathered to say their last farewells at St James United Methodist Church in Atlanta.
The 74-year-old is said to be threatening not to attend because Pat Houston is taking over the organisation and making it into a sweet 16-themed wake, which she is offended by, instead of making decisions with Bobbi's father Bobby Brown. Earlier this week Dionne told how much Bobbi Kristina will be missed. An initial autopsy yesterday found "no significant injuries" and "on obviously underlying cause of death" but the cause and manner of Bobbi's death will be looked into further by the Fulhon County Medical Examiner's Office.
Mourners, including father Bobby, his wife Alicia Etheredge and Bobbi Kristina's grandmother Cissy, aunt Pat and uncle Gary Houston, were seen looking distraught as they arrived at the church.
Fans arriving to pay their respects were turned away from the family and friends only service, while others sombrely watched the hearse and accompanying police motorcade
She was a sweetheart and she will be missed
Whitney Houston's only daughter died last Sunday following a long six month coma after she was found unresponsive in a bath in January.
She is expected to be buried next to her mother, who in a horrific twist was also found dead in a bathtub at a Beverley Hills hotel aged 48, just three years ago.
Family members, including Bobbi Kristina's father Bobby Brown, all looked sad |
Singer Dionne Warwick, the cousin of the late Whitney Houston, has said she is "threatening to boycott" the funeral because she disapproves of her aunt, Pat Houston's plans to turn the funeral into a "school prom party"
She said: "She was a sweetheart and she will be missed.
"And she was a good girl. she was a good little girl, she really was.
"Knowing that Bobbi is now with a much, much bigger and powerful person or thing that we'll ever know.
"She is in much better hands now."
