Bielik? Bennacer? Benzema? Who will become Arsene Wenger's 200th player at Arsenal?
Arsene Wenger took charge of Arsenal in 1996 and will field player 200 this season
ARSENE WENGER will likely field his 200th Arsenal player this season.

Former Chelsea goalkeeper Petr Cech became player number 199 under Wenger when the 33-year-old started in the Community Shield final at Wembley yesterday.

The list of Wenger's stars include David Seaman, Tony Adams and Denis Bergkamp, while he gave debuts to Thierry Henry, Robin van Persie and Ashley Cole.

There have also been some fairly spectacular flops. Can anyone remember American Danny Karbassiyoon, who made his Gunners debut in 2004 and now works as a scout for the club?
And what is 2009 Champions League starter Thomas Cruise up to now anyway?
So, who will be number 200? News News Blog Sport examines the frontrunners to get a first start - or even 30 seconds at the end of a dead rubber - at the Emirates.

Krystian Bielik is yet to make an appearance for the Arsenal first team

Krystian Bielik

Poland youth international Bielik was one of just two Arsenal signings in the January transfer window, costing the club a cool £2.4million.
Bielik made his professional debut for Legia Warsaw last season and managed six appearances before securing his move to the Emirates.
He earned a two-minute run-out for Legia in the Europa League last term but opportunities at Arsenal have yet to arrive.
However, the 17-year-old still has a long way to go and he is a candidate for play in Arsenal's first League Cup clash, depending on who they face.

Ismael Bennacer

French football's bright young star Ismael Bennacer recently signed a five-year contract at Arsenal.
The 17-year-old leaves AC Arles-Avignon after making just six appearances for the Ligue 2 side last season.
"I was a worried in my head about going abroad," Bennacer told L'Equipe in an interview.
"I have never left home before, I thought about staying in France in order for more game time too. [Arsenal is] the most French of the English clubs.
Maybe he will join Bielik in that League Cup clash…

Jeff Reine-Adelaide joined Arsenal from Lens this summer

Jeff Reine-Adelaide

Arsenal's second (and far less high-profile) signing of the summer after Petr Cech, Reine-Adelaide joined the club from Lens when the transfer window opened.
The Frenchman boasts 10 caps at U17 level but is maybe a few years off making his Gunners debut.
He set up Theo Walcott for a goal in the Emirates Cup last month - a display that greatly impressed Wenger.
"Reine-Adelaide is something special you know," the boss said.
"He is a great talent and when he came on you could see that - 17 years old let's not forget that. In fact I don't remember how I played at 17 but I didn't play like that!"

Will he or won't he? Benzema, 27, has been linked with a switch from Real Madrid to Arsenal all summer.
His fee is reportedly set at around £40million, although Wenger continues to deny Gunners interest in the striker.
Benzema would join a stellar list of France internationals to don the Arsenal shirt were he to sign.
Thierry Henry, Robert Pires, Emmanuel Petit, Patrick Vieira, Samir Nasri, Olivier Giroud and Laurent Koscielny to name but a few. Oh… and Gilles Grimandi.

Arsenal are reportedly keen on signing Barcelona ace Sergio Busquets

Sergio Busquets

Stranger things have happened. Barcelona are determined to keep Spain international Busquets this summer due to a ban on signing replacement players until 2016.
But a £24m offer is expected to be enough to change the minds of Nou Camp officials and Arsenal are reportedly keen on the player.
The defensive midfielder would compete with youngster Francis Coquelin for game time at the Emirates and would add invaluable experience to a relatively young squad.
