Arsene Wenger accuses Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho over lack of 'unity' in medical row

ARSENE WENGER waded into the Chelsea doctor row by hinting at a lack of “unity” at Stamford Bridge and pointing out to perennial rival Jose Mourinho that the laws are simple enough.

Mourinho will face the media later today for the first time since relieving Eva Carneiro of her touchline duties after she ran on to treat Eden Hazard during Saturday’s 2-2 draw with Swansea.
Despite claiming to know nothing about the situation and insisting he did not want to get involved in the row, Wenger could not resist from making a pointed general observation aimed at Mourinho’s behaviour.

"It’s a problem in the club,” he said. "It’s difficult enough and if you’re not united it is more difficult. Trust and unity inside a club make a strength.
"That story at Chelsea – I have not followed that. I do not have great interest in what’s going on there.

"But secondly, the rules are clear. When the referee gives an indication for the medics to come on they can come on.
"After that, in this situation, I don’t know. But the rules are quite clear. The referee makes the decision."
