Bastian Schweinsteiger insists there are no question marks over his fitness record |
BASTIAN SCHWEINSTEIGER has has shrugged off concerns about his injury record.
The Manchester United midfielder, 31, missed large chunk of his last two seasons with Bayern Munich raising concerns over his durability in the intensely competitive Premier League.
Those doubts were fuelled when Bayern coach Pep Guardiola said the World Cup winner could still be a force in England - if he could stay fit.

Schweinsteiger, who missed one of United's four pre-season games with a calf injury, was left on the bench for the opening game against Tottenham and is likely to be a substitute again at Villa Park tonight (7.45pm).
But he insists he is building up his fitness after a late start back to pre-season and will be able to last the pace in English football.

"I am fit, I am getting fitter," he said. "I had long holidays this summer and I came a little bit late to the team, and then I had a small calf injury in America, which was not perfect.
"But I am getting in better and better shape and within one or two weeks I will be at the highest level and then I can play like I want.
"In the past, I was not injured that much. I had a small problem with my knee and one operation on my ankle three years ago. And by the way I won the World Cup, so you have to be fit!"
