Jose Mourinho criticised his medical staff for treating Eden Hazard in the draw against Swansea |
FIFA HAVE handed Jose Mourinho a further rap across the knuckles as the Chelsea manager prepares to be held to account for his decision to redeploy first-team doctor Eva Carneiro away from touchline duties.
The usual pre-match press conference ahead of Sunday's trip to Manchester City at 12.30pm today will be the first opportunity the media have to quiz Mourinho about reports emerging from Chelsea this week that Carneiro and physio Jon Fearn will be missing from the dugout on Sunday after an incident involving Eden Hazard last week.
Mourinho was incensed that his medical staff ran on to treat the player, meaning he had to leave the pitch with Chelsea already down to 10 men.

The club insist they do no comment on internal staff matters but having criticised the pair publicly in interviews after the game for being "impulsive and naïve", it will be a chance to set the record straight with Roman Abramovich understood to be furious at Mourinho's heavy-handed retribution.
And yesterday FIFA's chief medical officer Jiri Dvorak joined the chorus of leading medical professionals criticising Mourinho's actions.
"In medical aspects, the manager has nothing to say," he said. "It is our ethical duty to look after the players' health.
"I cannot see such a situation [when the manager tells the medical team not to enter the pitch] and we have to defend the position of the doctor.
"When to come on is the sole decision of the doctor and we at FIFA will always endorse that."
