AC MILAN are ready to spend around £22m on Axel Witsel.
 
The Zenit St Petersburg midfielder has been strongly linked with a move to the San Siro all summer.
And reports in Italy on calciomercato.com suggest the Serie A side are ready spend €30m (£22m) on the Belgian.
Personal terms have reportedly been agreed already but Zenit are holding out for around €35m plus bonuses for the 26-year-old.
Witsel joined Zenit in 2012 from Portuguese club Benfica on a five-year contract.
 
Last season, he won the Russian Premier League for the first time, under former Spurs boss Andre Villas Boas.
Chelsea and Manchester United are also understood to be interested in Witsel.
